Thank you sponsors!
Is formal attire required?
NO! The Historic German House is a venue with a cool retro vibe, located in the South Wedge. Feel free to interpret the masquerade theme any way that feels comfortable to you. We're expecting everything from funky casual to frilly and formal (no jeans please, but anything else goes).

Do I have to wear a mask?
No! The masquerade theme was selected to represent the "masks" that so many domestic violence victims and their abusers use to hide what's happening in their lives. If you are uncomfortable wearing a mask, please come anyway and show your support in your presence.

Where do I find a mask?
The Internet has many great sites with masks at very reasonable prices that ship quickly. If you prefer to see and touch before you by, Pier 1 regularly stocks beautiful masks in their stores. Michael's Arts and Craft Store also has a variety of masks in their Halloween section, as does Party City; both have undecorated masks as well if you wish to make your own unique creation.

What kind of food & beverage will be served?
The event is an after dinner party, so please eat before you come. There will be light hors d'oeuvres for the first half of the evening and desserts will be available the second half of the night. We intend to offer some options for people with gluten sensitivity. Coffee and hot water for tea will be available at no cost. There will be a full cash bar available all evening with mixed drinks, wine, beer and soft drinks.

What is the parking situation?
The Historic German House has limited onsite parking, but we will have access to free parking at a church lot across the street that will be monitored by security personnel. On street parking is also an option. If you're planning to drink, be safe and consider using Uber or Lyft.

What payment methods will be accepted?
Attendees can use cash, MasterCard or Visa at the bar; in addition personal checks will will be accepted for those who choose to participate in the cash call, silent/live auction and wine pull. All items bid on or committed to during the event will need to paid for before leaving the event.
